I’m continuing my journey of automating my life—finances, bills, and everything in between. It’s been an interesting ride, to say the least. Don’t get me wrong, I know my debt is still there (LOL). It’s not going anywhere until I actually do something about it. I’ve read all the strategies—debt consolidation, paying down the highest amounts first, the snowball method, and countless others. But honestly? I’m not using my hard-earned money to pay down that overcharged debt that I’ve managed to rack up over the years.
I fully own my part in accumulating it, but now that my business mindset has kicked in—and with a solid understanding of how this economy works—I’m not stressing over that “little” $70,000 worth of debt. Why? Because I’ve got million-dollar ideas brewing! I’ve given myself this automated life to think, plan, organize, and manifest bigger things. That’s where my energy is focused now.
With that being said... my credit score has gone up! It’s currently at 727, after dipping down to 702 just a few months ago. The changes I’ve implemented have been pivotal. Even when I was stressing, my score kept dropping. But once I took what I like to call the Office Space approach to my finances and debt (LOL), things started improving. It’s been an oddly refreshing experience.
Now that I’ve freed up some breathing room, I spend most of my weekends (Friday/Saturday) at home, chilling and handling business, studies, and housework—whatever I’m willing to contribute (just ask my family, they’ve got stories, lol). Jokes aside, today I finished planning my October, November, and December content schedules. Every day is lined up with something except for the Thursday releases of my A Moment to Spit series. I’m currently up to November 21st, which happens to be the day after my birthday (also shoutout to my cousin Davon—check him out on Instagram @MysticSkillz!).
The Thursday content takes longer to produce, and for good reason. For A Moment to Spit, I’m writing each verse from scratch. Then I record the entire process—the writing session, the audio, and the video of me dropping the verse. Once that’s done, I film the final performance video that will go up on social media. After that, I have to go a step further and edit 3 different versions of the video to create the final product. So essentially, one video has about 5-6 steps involved, and it takes 3-4 hours per video from start to finish.
I think if I actually write out the steps to follow, I’ll save some time. I managed to get three of them done this weekend and lined them up for October releases, but it did take up most of my Saturday. However, I don’t mind because Saturdays are my days to create, study, and be thoughtful. That’s how I want to move forward in my life—intentionally, and with purpose.
I can’t emphasize enough just how pivotal Metricool has been in freeing up my time and helping me streamline my social media and marketing approach. I’ll keep talking about it because I hope more people take note of how it can help them—whether they’re using it for their social media game or to organize whatever projects they have going on. Having 3 months of content scheduled in this fast-paced society is a game-changer. It’s proof that, with patience and planning, the turtle can outwork the rabbit—one step, one moment at a time.
I’ll keep you guys updated as I continue down this path. If you have any questions or want me to dive deeper into something specific, feel free to leave a comment. Peace, love, and light!
