🌍 A New Contest with a Purpose

Every so often, a creative opportunity emerges that doesn’t just showcase talent — it drives real-world impact. That’s the spirit behind the Going Global: GVI Remix Contest. This isn’t just a beat flip. It’s a cultural bridge — connecting Hip-Hop with humanitarian action. For those wondering about the legitimacy or progress of this project, here’s a link to what we've already built. This initiative is very real. I’ve been in direct collaboration with Rah, the founder of the Global Village Initiative (GVI), since its inception — helping fund its early phases and supporting strategic development on the ground. As of this year, I’ve also been officially appointed the Director of Philanthropy & Global Partnerships for GVI. So when I say we’re taking Nahuce — and the villages that will follow — global, I truly mean it.

In collaboration with the Global Village Initiative (GVI), I’ve launched this remix contest as a way to uplift the people of Nahuce Village in Nigeria. Since 2024, V2G Multimedia has been actively involved in helping the GVI build a self-sustaining school and community infrastructure. And now, we’re inviting the global Hip-Hop community to get involved through music.

The track you’ll be remixing comes from my upcoming project, THE HERU MIXTAPE: PLEASE LISTEN TO MY DEMO, over a raw, heartfelt beat by @OfficialTJonez. It’s not a fully released track — yet. But with your remix, it could be.

🎯 The Mission

Our goal is to use this contest to generate visibility and energy around GVI’s mission: clean water, electricity, farming, and education for Nahuce. The music video for the track, filmed by V2G Multimedia, visually paints the picture of this effort. Through your remix, you’re invited to add your voice and creativity to the cause.

You can join from anywhere in the world. Here’s how:

2. Download the remix kit

3. Remix the track — flip the beat, build around the verse, or craft a visual remix

4. Required: Email your final WAV or MP3 file to: [email protected] or [email protected]

5. (We’ll use this to upload your entry to Bandcamp for public listening)

6. Optional: Share your remix on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts and tag: @nahuceglobalvillageinitiative (FOLLOW THE MOVEMENT) + @v2gmultimedia + @raheemdadreamer with hashtag #GVIRemixContest

👑 Judging + Scoring

Three respected guest judges will listen to the top submissions, and each choose their Top 5. I will be posting and sending out the names of the 3 judges tomorrow! I will update this blog accordingly! Since the video remains the same and only the beat is being remixed, the evaluation will focus specifically on how well your production elevates the track. Here’s the updated scoring system:

Beat Creativity & Originality – 40 pts

How Well the Beat Matches the Verse – 30 pts

Mix Quality – 20 pts

Optional Bonus (Storytelling/Atmosphere) – 10 pts

Final results will be determined by combined scores.
