There’s a rhythm to what Rev. Ike shares—it’s subtle but strong, like a current running underneath your daily steps. I didn’t listen to this message as something new, but more like something familiar finally spoken out loud. It reminded me of the headspace I was in when I created Will To Power. That album wasn’t just music—it was me, processing. As an artist, a father, a business owner, and someone who believes deeply in self and spirit—it was a mirror, a blueprint, and a release all in one.
📝 What I can still apply: I can pause when I’m unsure and reflect on the inner truth I already carry. Will To Power is still teaching me that.
🧠💭 "The Message Hits Deep“
A man is rejected because he subconsciously rejects himself and others.” — Rev. Ike
This instantly brought me back to "All You Need (Within Your 'Self')":"ALL YOU NEED IS WITHIN YOU… GRAB A MIRROR, STARE IT DOWN, CENTER SELF, THEN COMMENCE TO, RECITE THESE WORDS 'YOU’VE GOT EVERYTHING WITHIN YOU.'”
That line wasn’t just crafted—it was needed. I’ve been in rooms where I felt unseen, and it took time to realize I had walked in unsure of my own worth. Rev. Ike gave that a name. That kind of clarity doesn’t just shift perception—it shifts posture.
📝 What I can still apply: Approach each room with inner agreement first. If I accept myself, I’ll rarely feel rejected again.
🗣️💡 “Friends. Friends. Friends.”
I’ve learned, you don’t wait for peace to show up in the room—you walk in with it. That’s what this affirmation felt like. Calling everything and everyone ahead of you a friend before you even speak.
From “Reflect on Music”:
"You dealing with rare breeds, like crowds you can’t please, gotta pull from in between your HEART, MIND, and BODY.”
It’s wild how a shift in thought shifts a whole room. I’ve done this quietly before key meetings, workshops, and even family gatherings. Saying it to myself—"these are my friends"—helps me open instead of brace.
📝 What I can still apply: Don’t reserve the “friends” mantra just for formal settings. Use it daily. Before phone calls. Before showing up anywhere.
🔥✨ Self-Responsibility Ain’t Easy, But It’s Real
Do I really want what I think I want?” — Rev. Ike
That question has layers. It reminded me of when I wrote:
"Giving up is never, not option in my vocab, Through the pain, keep moving like the Nomads." — “Will Power”
There’s a difference between desire and readiness. A lot of us ask for things we’re secretly afraid of. I’ve done that. I’ve also avoided steps because I wasn’t ready for the responsibility that would follow the success.
📝 What I can still apply: Before I pray or plan—pause. Ask myself: am I truly willing to hold what I say I want?
🛣️🌊 Go to the Healing Pools
Rev. Ike spoke of Be’er Sheva as a place of peace—a well of agreement with the self. And while that reference traces back to ancient Israel, it reminds me of the sacred Osirian healing pools found in Kemet (Ancient Egypt). Those waters, said to restore the body and spirit, were found in Abydos. There's still ongoing research being conducted! They were places people traveled to not just to bathe—but to realign.
From “The Great Escape”:
"Mental plane wreckage, it's all self reflected, maybe I can turn into a Phoenix resurrected."
That’s what these spaces represent to me—where your old ways fall off, and you rise again. Whether through prayer, silence, water, or stillness—healing happens there. And it doesn’t take a plane ticket to get to one. It’s a place you reach through intention.
📝 What I can still apply: Seek those inner healing pools when I need to pause, realign, and reconnect to the part of me that knows peace already exists within.** Revisit Be’er Sheva (which is within) as often as necessary. Especially when doubt creeps in. Re-center.
🗝️🧘🏾♂️ The Covenant with Self
“Me, myself, and I are the two or three that must agree.” — Rev. Ike
In “Force of the Orisha”:
"Road blocking self, heard the help comes from deep inside, Life coach told me just do it, don’t believe in TRY."
Every day, there’s a silent contract I renew. To speak truth. To walk humbly. To resist the pull to doubt my own light. Rev. Ike’s reminder felt like spiritual maintenance—check in with yourself. Don’t break the bond.
📝 What I can still apply: Each morning, return to agreement with who I truly am. Before the world adds its layers.
🎧 Final Thoughts:
What moved me most in this message wasn’t that it introduced new ideas—but that it reaffirmed truths I’ve been trying to live. There’s a grace in hearing someone name what you’ve been practicing in silence. That’s what Rev. Ike gave me.
"The Great Ones are made Great from battles, I see ya light piercing out of life’s shadows…" — "Will Power”
Every day is a choice. To align. To speak well. To prepare the way. This message wasn’t nostalgia—it was a timely nudge.
📝 What I can still apply: Speak blessings before battles. Speak alignment before arrival. Let peace go before me.
I'll be doing another one of these very soon! Bless and Bliss!
